I PICK THE DOG UP.
I FIX IT.
I DROP THEM OFF.

Your dog stays in my home for 2 to 4 weeks. I do all the hard work — daily training, structured walks, real-world exposure. You collect a calm, neutral, balanced dog that's no longer reactive or aggressive. That's the deal.

SOME DOGS NEED
MORE THAN WEEKLY SESSIONS.

Your dog's aggression is severe enough that managing it yourself feels unsafe.

You've tried training before — maybe even multiple trainers — and the behaviour keeps coming back.

The problem is so ingrained that one session a week isn't enough to break through it.

You need the dog fixed, but you don't have the time or capacity to do the daily work yourself.

You've reached the point where you're considering rehoming because you can't see another way.

If any of that sounds like your situation, residential training exists so you don't have to give up on your dog.

HOW RESIDENTIAL
TRAINING WORKS

Your dog lives in my home — not a kennel, not a facility. They're part of the household. Every day is structured around fixing the behaviour that's been making your life difficult.

DROP-OFF

ASSESSMENT & SETTLING IN

Your dog arrives and I spend the first few days assessing exactly what we're dealing with. I watch how they respond to structure, other dogs, new environments, and pressure. This tells me what the programme needs to look like and how long it'll take — 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or 4.

DAILY

INTENSIVE DAILY TRAINING

Every day follows a structured routine — training sessions, structured walks, structured play, and proper downtime. I work in real environments from the start, progressively increasing the pressure. Crate training is included so your dog learns to switch off and settle, not just be 'on' all the time.

BUILDING

REAL-WORLD EXPOSURE

As the foundation builds, we move into busier environments — parks, towns, cafes, pubs. The same process as my reactivity programme, but more intensive and with longer sessions. Your dog's needs come first. If they need more time on a particular stage, they get it.

HANDOVER

OWNER HANDOVER SESSIONS

Before you collect your dog, we spend time together. I show you exactly how to maintain everything we've built — the handling, the structure, the communication. You don't just pick up a trained dog and hope for the best. You leave knowing how to keep the results.

THE DOG YOU GET BACK

Calm, neutral, and balanced — no matter the environment

No longer reactive to other dogs, people, or triggers

Walks on a loose lead without pulling, lunging, or barking

Settles in the house without pacing, whining, or destructive behaviour

Responds to you as their leader — not because there's a treat in your hand

A dog you can actually live with, take places, and trust

WHAT'S INCLUDED

2–4 Weeks In My Home

Your dog lives with me as part of the household. Not in a kennel. Not in a facility. Duration depends on what your dog needs — not a fixed package.

Daily Intensive Training

Structured sessions every day in real environments. Longer and more intensive than weekly programmes because we're not limited to one hour a week.

Equipment Package

Pre-fitted leads, collar, and muzzle ready on day one. Everything your dog needs is sorted before we start.

Crate Training

Your dog learns to settle and switch off properly. This alone transforms life at home — no more pacing, whining, or destructive behaviour when you need them to be calm.

Owner Handover Sessions

Before collection, we work together so you know exactly how to maintain everything. You don't just pick up a trained dog — you learn how to keep the results.

Daily Photo & Video Updates

You'll never be left wondering how your dog is getting on. Every day you'll receive photos and videos straight to your phone — progress in the training, downtime around the house, and everything in between. You'll see the transformation happening in real time.

WhatsApp Support After Collection

Once your dog is home, I'm still a message away. If something comes up in the first weeks, you're not on your own.

THIS ISN'T A KENNEL.
IT'S MY HOME.

Your dog doesn't go into a facility with rows of cages and a rota of staff. They come into my house. They live with me. They eat, sleep, train, and decompress in a real home environment — which is exactly the environment they need to learn to behave in.

This matters because a dog that learns to be calm in a sterile training centre hasn't actually learned to be calm. They've learned to be calm in a training centre. My dogs learn to be calm in the real world — houses, streets, parks, pubs — because that's where they train from day one.

Structured daily routine in a real home

Proper rest and downtime between sessions

Real-world exposure from day one

Your dog's needs always come first

THIS IS FOR YOU IF…

Your dog's aggression or reactivity is severe — bite history, can't be walked safely, a danger to other dogs or people

You've tried training before and it hasn't stuck — or the behaviour came back worse

You don't have the time or capacity to do daily training yourself, but you need the problem solved

You own a German Shepherd, Malinois, Rottweiler, or another working/guardian breed that needs someone who understands drive

You've reached the point where rehoming feels like the only option left

You want the hard work done for you — and you're willing to learn how to maintain it

THIS ISN'T FOR YOU IF…

Your dog just needs basic obedience — my Obedience & Engagement programme is a better fit

You're not willing to attend the handover sessions or maintain the training afterwards

You're looking for the cheapest option — this is the most intensive programme I offer and it's priced accordingly

You want treat-based or purely positive training — that's not how I work

Your dog's issues are mild enough that weekly sessions would handle it — I'll tell you if that's the case

LUNA'S STORY

Jamie L

Google Review

2-Week Residential

The Problem

Luna was friendly and sociable — but that was the problem. She'd charge at any dog or person on walks, jumping up with zero restraint. Her recall vanished the moment there was a distraction. A near-miss bite made it clear something had to change.

The Experience

From the moment Luna arrived, Dan treated her like his own. His approach comes from a genuine place of care — not just going through the motions. That matters when you're trusting someone with your dog for a fortnight.

The Result

Luna now walks calmly past other dogs and people without bolting towards them. Her recall is solid even with distractions. For the first time, they can let her off the lead and actually relax.

"If your dog has reactivity or recall issues, we can't recommend Dan at Aesir highly enough. Worth every penny."

5.0 on Google

"Such a great experience with Dan. Our dog used to bite and we couldn't even take her on a walk, which was very stressful. Since working with Dan we have seen a huge difference — our dog is much calmer and we are now able to take her for a walk, which is honestly something we never thought we would see."

Dog went from biting to calm walks

Jacqui

Lichfield

"HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have a very reactive dog — he has previously bitten, doesn't like people and can be reactive to dogs. We had been to other trainers and took their advice and his behaviour got worse. My dog's behaviour has vastly improved using the advice from Dan and the 1-2-1 training sessions."

Vast improvement after other trainers failed

Sophie

Tamworth

"I will 100% recommend Dan to all my friends and everyone that needs a dog trainer — he's absolutely saved me with my dog. She was always pulling and trying to lunge at people and other dogs. She's now so happy on walks and even goes off lead!"

Now walks off lead — lunging completely resolved

COMMON QUESTIONS

Between 2 and 4 weeks, depending on the dog. Some dogs with ingrained aggression or a long bite history need the full four weeks. Others with less severe reactivity can be turned around in two. I'll give you an honest assessment after the first few days — I'm not going to keep your dog longer than necessary, but I'm also not going to rush it and send back a half-finished job.

In my home. Not a kennel, not a facility, not a barn with crates. Your dog lives in my house as part of the household. This is important because the whole point is teaching them to be calm in a real home environment — which is exactly where they need to behave when they come back to you.

I'd prefer you didn't, and here's why: when your dog sees you mid-programme, it can undo days of progress. They get excited, their state changes, and we have to rebuild. The handover sessions at the end are designed specifically so you can see the progress and learn how to maintain it. Trust the process.

All breeds, but the majority of residential dogs I work with are German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, Rottweilers, and other working and guardian breeds. These are dogs that need someone who understands drive, threshold, and the specific challenges that come with owning a powerful breed. I'm not going to treat your Malinois the same way I'd treat a Cockapoo.

If you attend the handover sessions, follow the maintenance plan, and don't see a marked improvement — I'll provide additional sessions at no charge. If you're still not satisfied, I'll refund your investment in full. I've never had to use this guarantee, but it's there because I stand behind the work.

Yes. Residential clients come from across the UK. You drop your dog off, I do the work, and you collect them when they're ready. Some clients drive several hours each way — they do it because they can't find anyone local who specialises in the kind of cases I handle.

Most board and train places are kennels with a training add-on. Your dog sits in a run for 22 hours a day and gets an hour of training. That's not what this is. Your dog lives in my home, trains in real environments every day, and gets the structure and routine they need to actually change. The other difference is the handover — I don't just hand you a lead and wave goodbye. We work together until you're confident maintaining everything.

Book a free consultation and I'll tell you honestly. If your dog's behaviour is manageable enough that weekly sessions can fix it, I'll recommend the 5-week programme — it's less disruptive and you're involved from day one. Residential is for cases where the behaviour is too severe or too ingrained for weekly sessions to break through, or where the owner genuinely can't do the daily work themselves.

THE GUARANTEE

If you attend the handover sessions, follow the maintenance plan, and don't see a marked improvement in your dog's behaviour — I'll provide additional sessions at no charge. If you're still not satisfied after that, I'll refund your investment in full.

I can offer this because every residential dog I've worked with has left in a fundamentally different state to how they arrived.

DONE MANAGING THE PROBLEM?

The consultation is free. I'll tell you honestly whether residential is the right option for your dog — or whether something else would work better. Either way, you leave the call knowing exactly where you stand.
