Your dog stays in my home for 2 to 4 weeks. I do all the hard work — daily training, structured walks, real-world exposure. You collect a calm, neutral, balanced dog that's no longer reactive or aggressive. That's the deal.
Your dog lives in my home — not a kennel, not a facility. They're part of the household. Every day is structured around fixing the behaviour that's been making your life difficult.
Your dog arrives and I spend the first few days assessing exactly what we're dealing with. I watch how they respond to structure, other dogs, new environments, and pressure. This tells me what the programme needs to look like and how long it'll take — 2 weeks, 3 weeks, or 4.
Every day follows a structured routine — training sessions, structured walks, structured play, and proper downtime. I work in real environments from the start, progressively increasing the pressure. Crate training is included so your dog learns to switch off and settle, not just be 'on' all the time.
As the foundation builds, we move into busier environments — parks, towns, cafes, pubs. The same process as my reactivity programme, but more intensive and with longer sessions. Your dog's needs come first. If they need more time on a particular stage, they get it.
Before you collect your dog, we spend time together. I show you exactly how to maintain everything we've built — the handling, the structure, the communication. You don't just pick up a trained dog and hope for the best. You leave knowing how to keep the results.

Calm, neutral, and balanced — no matter the environment
No longer reactive to other dogs, people, or triggers
Walks on a loose lead without pulling, lunging, or barking
Settles in the house without pacing, whining, or destructive behaviour
Responds to you as their leader — not because there's a treat in your hand
A dog you can actually live with, take places, and trust
Your dog doesn't go into a facility with rows of cages and a rota of staff. They come into my house. They live with me. They eat, sleep, train, and decompress in a real home environment — which is exactly the environment they need to learn to behave in.
This matters because a dog that learns to be calm in a sterile training centre hasn't actually learned to be calm. They've learned to be calm in a training centre. My dogs learn to be calm in the real world — houses, streets, parks, pubs — because that's where they train from day one.
Structured daily routine in a real home
Proper rest and downtime between sessions
Real-world exposure from day one
Your dog's needs always come first

The Problem
Luna was friendly and sociable — but that was the problem. She'd charge at any dog or person on walks, jumping up with zero restraint. Her recall vanished the moment there was a distraction. A near-miss bite made it clear something had to change.
The Experience
From the moment Luna arrived, Dan treated her like his own. His approach comes from a genuine place of care — not just going through the motions. That matters when you're trusting someone with your dog for a fortnight.
The Result
Luna now walks calmly past other dogs and people without bolting towards them. Her recall is solid even with distractions. For the first time, they can let her off the lead and actually relax.
"If your dog has reactivity or recall issues, we can't recommend Dan at Aesir highly enough. Worth every penny."

"Such a great experience with Dan. Our dog used to bite and we couldn't even take her on a walk, which was very stressful. Since working with Dan we have seen a huge difference — our dog is much calmer and we are now able to take her for a walk, which is honestly something we never thought we would see."
Dog went from biting to calm walks

"HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I have a very reactive dog — he has previously bitten, doesn't like people and can be reactive to dogs. We had been to other trainers and took their advice and his behaviour got worse. My dog's behaviour has vastly improved using the advice from Dan and the 1-2-1 training sessions."
Vast improvement after other trainers failed

"I will 100% recommend Dan to all my friends and everyone that needs a dog trainer — he's absolutely saved me with my dog. She was always pulling and trying to lunge at people and other dogs. She's now so happy on walks and even goes off lead!"
Now walks off lead — lunging completely resolved

If you attend the handover sessions, follow the maintenance plan, and don't see a marked improvement in your dog's behaviour — I'll provide additional sessions at no charge. If you're still not satisfied after that, I'll refund your investment in full.
I can offer this because every residential dog I've worked with has left in a fundamentally different state to how they arrived.
The consultation is free. I'll tell you honestly whether residential is the right option for your dog — or whether something else would work better. Either way, you leave the call knowing exactly where you stand.
